We are more than happy to announce that 3rd General Meeting an Conference will take place 17-19 of February 2026, in Brasov, Romania.
This event will include both the Conference and Working Group Meetings. We encourage all members of the Action to actively engage in both parts of this event.
Conference Sessions will focus on the key deliverables of the EU-PoTaRCh Action, including:
- Best-Practice Guide for Identifying and Excavating PoTaRCh Sites
- White paper for policy makers, international organizations about PoTaRCh relations to bio-economy strategy and forest transformation
- Education Trail Across Europe
- Catalogue of production maps, archives, photos, and other materials related to human and non-human actors/social-ecological systems
- Innovative tourist concepts in line with forest heritage preservation
- Other topics related to EU-PoTaRCh CA22155 deliverables (see)
We invite you to prepare presentations or posters on the above topics. If you have any doubts, please contact the WG leaders responsible for the respective deliverables.

• Today: Please save the date — February 17–19, 2026 — to ensure your attendance.
- After December 15: We will send you a Google Form to confirm your participation. In the form, we will also ask whether you intend to give a presentation or submit a poster; if so, you will be asked to provide the title and abstract.
- Early January: We will share information on the Core Group’s decision regarding the acceptance of presentations and posters, reimbursement rules, as well as details about the venue, accommodation, and how to get there.
