STSM at the Polytechnic University of Turin

I’m truly grateful to the Department of Applied Science and Technology at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, for hosting me, and to the CA22155 EU-PoTaRCh for supporting my visit through a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) grant.

During this interdisciplinary research stay, I had the opportunity to explore the use of biochar in composite materials, bridging applied chemistry with polymer science, and to exchange know-how. This experience not only enriched my current work at the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) on forest-derived biochar, but also opened up exciting avenues for future collaboration and for promoting environmental sustainability research.
